How we make your Fingerprint Jewellery
We provide two options, each for your convenience. In both cases, we recommend the minimum age for taking a fingerprint impression is 4 months. In our experience, the fingerprints, generally speaking, are not defined enough until this age. There is no maximum age!

Internet Orders
We offer a mail order service to the UK and worldwide via oour online shop. On receipt of your order we will send you an easy to use impressions kit, with full instructions on how to capture the best fingerprint. The impressions kit contains moulding putty, an order form and a self addressed envelope for returning the impressions to us.
Our impressions kit contains enough moulding putty to take two fingerprints. Our suggestion is to take two fingerprints per person, so that we can get the best results when making your fingerprint jewellery.
Delivery
Delivery is generally 14 days from us either taking or receiving your fingerprint impressions. Whilst we strive to maintain this timescale throughout the year, during our busy periods, for example Christmas, the delivery may be longer. We will advise you when you place your order if delivery is likely to be longer than 14 days.
Legally, we are required to hallmark any silver item that weighs 7.88g. Our fingerprint jewellery is under this weight and therefore does not need to be hallmarked. If you would prefer for your jewellery to be hallmarked, we can arrange this for you at an extra cost. Pickle and Pumpkin have a hallmark set up with the Birmingham Assay Office to enable us to carry out this request. Please note that hallmarking would extend the delivery time of your pieces.

Frequently asked questions
Will I be able to see a clear fingerprint in the mould?
It does depend on the size of the fingerprint, the age of the person providing the print and the depth of lines on the finger. Every fingerprint is unique and no fingerprint is the same. Generally speaking, the older the person the more defined the fingerprint tends to be. In children or babies you can sometimes find the fingerprint is more of an impression. If we receive a print that has no lines, we will contact you before proceeding.
What happens to the moulds once my jewellery has been completed?
We will return the moulds back to you with your completed jewellery. You can store these in a safe place and we can use them again should you wish to re-order in the future.
If I have ordered from you before, what do I do if I want to place a new order?
Simple!! If you would like to use the moulds that you used previously, all you need to do is send them in the post to us - with details of your order and your payment. We will do the rest! If you would like a new impression to be taken then we will send you out a new Fingerprint Impressions Kit.
